At the 2025 #OGPSummit, a coalition led by 🇳🇱 with @oecd-ocde.bsky.social & OGP launched an initiative to set an international benchmark for meaningful proactive disclosure.

Together, they’ll foster debate, peer learning & common standards.
Last week, Open Ownership was represented @opengovpartnership.org Global Summit, the 13th Pan African Conference on Tax and #IFFs, and the Corporate Registers Forum.

At the #OGPSummit today, I went to a good panel on how to maintain independence & viability of media. Some keys mentioned were: explicit safeguards for editorial independence for public media, media literacy education & a need to build public support for independent media.
If nations, states, & cities refuse to uphold @opengovpartnership.org values, enforce illiberal policies, & engage in overt authoritarianism & brazen corruption, tthey must not be allowed to remain in governance of multilateral organizations explicitly focused on fighting those plagues.

During #OGPSummit session on combatting disinformation, Ukraine Parliament member Yaroslav Yurchyshyn spoke on the use of disinformation and need to fight it at a global level: “We believe disinformation is a form of hybrid warfare” and that it can “emotionally manipulate” people against democracy.
