Looking back to Ana Pink Bay off the stern of the Skorpios lll, the golden orb floats above the chiselled Patagonia mountains, reflecting on the choppy water, and casting a warm, yellow glow on parts of the ship. It's been a chilly exercise, on deck for over an hour anticipating the moment, occasionally ducking into the bridge to warm up.
The calm will end as we navigate through the Pulluche Channel and start crossing the notoriously rough Penas Gulf. Few show up for breakfast, fewer for lunch, I think only 20 showed for dinner ...the cruise director and many staff were down for the count. We had an intimate dining experience all day, but it was a little like house arrest as you couldn't even get a cocktail. While not the sailing wasn't easy-peasy, it was no Drake Channel!
Freshly Cracked Sunrise
I've been riding the gentle waves the Pulluche Channel waiting for this. #StunDay #SilentSunday #SunriseSunday #Scape
