5 things I *actually* did this week:
1- worked a ton of OT at the PBM, busting my ass to approve as many #Medicare #PartD RX #priorauthorizations as I possibly could.
2- Took my kid to the doc, stressed over how much all 4 of the tests that they ran would cost. (Even good healthcare is expensive).
Among other changes to #MedicareAdvantage, there need to be shifts in #Approvals #PriorAuthorizations and #Denials in care @signaturedoc.bsky.social
Today the #NorthDakota Senate will hear on the 11th order #NDSB2280, a bill to require a #legislative management study of the impact of #priorauthorizations imposed on the #NDPERS (state employee benefits) enrollees. In addition, it adds regulations to when an adverse determination can be made.
A good chunk of nurses' resources are spent in getting PA approvals. Resources that are already in severe shortage when in comes to patient care
