Beneath Hereβs where they sky-grave the stags. Extend them, impossibly, from breathless, ivied towers. Here these herds of young and old lock together, lattice air. Bombed roofs of horn-winged angels. Antlers, dripping empty blood.
Coming in under the wire for @hool415.bsky.social's #promptcombo this week, my #free40 is actually 36 words (if you include its title). It was written while stood beneath a naked tree in winter β rain starting to fall on me through its bare branches.
Must not spend
gutter money on art.
Must not turn twisted
gutters into art.
