The results of an experiment on questionnaire length in self-completion #surveys has been published by Survey Research Methods (@esrasurvey.bsky.social).
The paper compares response rates, sample composition, and data quality indicators from two #questionnaires fielded in 2021.
We're currently in the process of moving from collecting #data via face-to-face interviews to employing self-completion methods.
Round 12 (2025/26) will see a mixed-method approach, with data collected via online/postal #questionnaires and in-person interviews.
