Gretton church is pictured in sunshine, with a sky of white clouds and patches of blue. Against this, the ironstone tower stands out clearly. The tower is to the left of the image, with, in a paler stone, several bands around the tower, a crenelated parapet and pinnacles on each corner.
The church is in a different stone, a much lighter colour and smoother surfaces. There are 2 roseate windows in the wall of the nave, above the side aisle. Facing us is a porch and an extension (a vestry?) with a large window facing us.
The churchyard grass is neatly cropped and there are a number of grave marker. There are a number of tress around the church, all in full leaf.
