It's a memorial for someone called Gälv and his brother Ulvvid, raised by Gälv's sons. Most rune stones are memorials like this, simply stating who raised it for whom.

Today’s walk lead us to a runestone in Upplands Väsby. The stone has two carvings, made by Ingrid in memory of her husband and two sons. It also states that Ingrid built a bridge, which was quite a big deal in the Iron Age. She was probably a powerful and influential person! #runestone

This summer I went to take a look at the oldest #runestone in Uppland, Sweden, Krogstastenen, U1125.
Dated to 550 or later, so the early language and few #runes makes it impossible to know what it says on this side, other side is maybe "stone".

A runic animal resembling a goat. It’s in the lower left corner of a rune stone, and the first few letters of the text, KUTI, can be seen to the left of the animal. The whole text says that Kuti (Gute) had the stone raised in memory of his son Urukiu (Orökja).
Swedish rune stones rarely have pictures except for the decoration surrounding the text, so I guess someone really liked their goat.
