USL tried (and ultimately backed off) firing me because I had written a generic email to MLS as part of #SaveTheCrew (as hundreds of other MLS fans did, it was a big organized thing, not just me alone) from my *personal email before I was even hired*!!!

I can’t help but wonder if Garber is playing up the possibility of the Whitecaps moving because of the huge groundswell of support Columbus saw with #SavetheCrew.

Well, there is a state law that they can't take a team that has received state funds out of the state.
It was going to be invoked during the #SaveTheCrew movement, but the Haslams bought it before Precourt moved to Austin, so it wasn't tested.
