No.
Just because I don't spend my time on SM, my website (or in real life), shouting, complaining, arguing, protesting & swearing (I don't swear anyway), doesn't mean I don't know what's going on in the news & world.
I'd rather be a thinker, #theoriser & #sciencewriter like it says in my profile.
Excerpt from a review article. Circled in red is the sentence " Had we realized that NF-κB would have a wide role in inflammation and other natural and pathological processes, we might have found a simpler designation for ease of typing."
I'm doing a bit of research for something I'm writing on NF-κB and came across this gem of a paper. I am having this struggle right now. 😂

As far as the eye can see,
blanketing the continent on the bottom of the world.
Antarctica.
The coldest, windiest, driest place on Earth.

Millions of years before humans began farming, leafcutter ants were farming fungus in vast underground nests. They “deserve recognition as Earth’s ultimate superorganisms,” said experts Bert Holdobler & E.O. Wilson.

Anemones look like plants but they’re really animals. They catch prey with harpoon-like tentacles that sting and paralyze small fish that get too close. But damselfish seem immune and live among the tentacles

A poop snack doesn’t sound appetizing but in the crowded tropical forest ecosystem, anything can be food for somebody. Bird poop is perfect food for butterflies that follow birds that follow army ants.

To keep from being eaten alive, plants produced thousands of chemical defenses, including caffeine, nicotine, cyanide, opium. Many of our medicines are derived from plant chemicals. Others we use to wake up.

Some slave-making ants use chemical warfare to subdue their victims. Edward O. Wilson called these chemicals “propaganda substances” that put the victims in panic and confusion. Sounds like politics today!

If you think plants can’t do
anything because they’re rooted in one place, you’d be wrong. Plants defend themselves from being eaten alive by producing natural insecticides like caffeine and nicotine.

Medical advice has encouraged people who've suffered concussions to rest and cocoon in darkness until symptoms subside.
Yet, research suggests such advice can cause more harm than good. Instead, being active within reason actually helps a concussed person recover faster.
