Its legs are long and thin, closely resembling a shorebird. The babies lack the blue patterning of their father on their wings. There are many species of drakes in the Selvan, some more respected than others. The piper drake is well known for its high-pitched song and scavenging tendancies; Many an intalli on the beach has found themselves without a lunch after a piper drake’s hunt.
