Sunlight and blue sky filter through the summery green leaves and branches of an enormous tulip tree along the Santiam River. The picture looks straight up into the canopy with the sunlight in the upper right corner and various shades of blue peeking through the leaves and those glorious brown branches. If you zoom in on the lower left, you may spot some of the bright orange-yellow flowers. The branches snake like veins up and up into the sky. It was a hot day and my friend and I spend a good half and hour enjoying the shade and taking pictures of this glorious being. Lovely day.
