probably but as he was a man deeply connected to the natural world and peace & solitude, I know he'd feel out of place among the hundreds of people w their companion dogs walking & shooting along the #UndercliffPath. Next time I'll try going early early .. trouble is I'm a bit of a Dormouse 😴

T'was a lovely day under & over the #UndercliffPath ..
For starters both female & male Peregrines showed up, perched sentinel-like as if guarding us all .. not true pigeons!
Many birds seemed more vocal, Starlings especially & spring blooms showed their faces in the grass.
Fulmars preened.

Spent a wonderful half hour at lunchtime watching #Ravens build their nest on a ledge high up on the cliff face today.
Yet another reason to walk the #UndercliffPath east of #BrightonMarina and always to #LookUp!

Well the Met Office said cloudy all day for B & H 🙄
In actual fact if was 'Bright Blue Skies with Frequent Fulmar'
along the #UndercliffPath between #BrightonMarina &
#Rottingdean

They're back .. those fabulous seabirds that can teach JD Vance a thing or 2 abt the art of eye shading & us all about resilience.
I counted 3 loved-up pairs on their respective ledges above the #undercliffpath west of #Rottingdean & many more eastwards.
So happy to see them again!

Love the European Shag so much so made one standing on rock both in stoneware .. though not close to body of water so add one of many beloved Fulmar couples sitting in their chalk ledge above #Undercliffpath + pair of Jackdaws as I love them

Waiting 4 the "supermarket" to open fully takes time if you're #wader or #gull relying on the diurnal drop of the tide to expose the goodies on the seaweed covered chalk reef below the #UndercliffPath.

I have several bird photos in the #least category but I'll go w/ the Peregrine Falcon that I've only seen twice & captured on camera once while it was obviously observing prey from its perch on the cliff face above the #Undercliffpath east of Brighton. #BirdOfTheDay #EastCoastKin

From wonderful and beloved Puffins to somewhat less beloved but still wonderful, a couple of Great Black-backed gulls fighting over a washed up Conger Eel on the mid-shore below the #UndercliffPath just east of #BrightonMarina a week ago.

Many hunters along #UndercliffPath east of #Brighton at low tide today which is a good sign that even this part of #underwaterSussex is beginning to thrive again after the #TrawlerBan just 4 years ago. Without good "pickings" 8 #LittleEgret, 1 #GreyHeron & 2 #GreySeal would not be there!

Along #Undercliffpath between #Brighton & #Saltdean I have on rare privileged moments been an observer of the intense focus of #PeregrineFalcon & keen 2 nil apparent awareness of danger from its potential next meals below revealing why #pigeon is big part of its diet & not #RockPipit nor #Jackdaw
