A shot across ponds at Las Gallinas, before dawn. 50s exposure, but maybe after 30 seconds or so I gave up and moved the camera. A cyclist was coming down the trail, I think that was their light. It was still about an hour to sunrise. A bright light is seen coming from the right, across the pond, rising a little and then making a sharp turn and going up out of frame in the center.
I could say it was a UFO, low over Las Gallinas, before making a sharp turn and rapid ascent. But I hadn't set high ISO, so the exposure of my first pre-sunrise shot was very long and I got impatient. I think the light was a cyclist coming down the trail. #UCM (Unintentional CM) #WackyWednesdayArt

A wonderfully decorated Super Lambanana in the Tate Liverpool. It’s covered in mosaic, mainly shades of blue stripes, but the head and are multi coloured and there are patterns of colour on its back. The original Super Lambanana was designed by the artist Taro Chiezo and intended to be a cross between a banana and a lamb. Then as part of Liverpool's year-long position as the 2008 European Capital of Culture, 125 replicas of the sculpture were created. I’m not sure if this was one of them or more have been created since.

A fantastic find walking around Lake Panorama, that of a ceramic + rock sculpture of Conan the Barbarian. The included quote: "What is the best in life? To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women." I recall cackling away when I saw this - what a unique find among all the other ceramic bits and bobs along the lakeside trail. It was a bit of a jolt! And yet such an utter delight. The others were more whimsical, childlike, animals and imaginary beasties, or ones of gentle humour.
