#YearOfTheLinuxDesktop has gone well for me so far since installing on 1st January 2026.
It's met all the daily usage requirements so far. Handles SMB shares faster than Windows.
RDP feels like it's better quality in Remmina than mstsc somehow for my Lightroom server.

So, yeah... This just pops up during shutdown on all 3 Windows 11 machines in my house now... It often doesn't actually shut down unless I click "Shut Down Anyways".

I am confident that the majority of people can use and thrive on a Linux PC. I mean most do with their phones.
