I'm not talking about the amount of time spent actually playing the game but rather the period of time in your life that a game occupies while you are 'actively' playing it. Obviously some games like Overwatch or Spelunky can be played over the course of many years, but for major story based games most of us will play them during a discreet period and move on, maybe revisiting for a replay at some point*"
