Small plant of wood affixed to a telephone pole. On the light blue colored plank is a person/creature. At the bottom it says “Thomas Jr.” with period on Jr. being comprised of one of the two dots of a smiley face :). They are comprised of the tips of paint brushes for legs, a triangular red piece of felt for a dress/shirt, corn cob holders stick into the wood and protruding out at an angle with the tips painted blank for arms, and a clump of matted hair for a hair with googly eyes and a red line for it’s face. The hair is long and curled over their face, partially obscuring it. Given the amount of hair and no actual head visible, they could be some kind of Bigfoot like creature, or a Cousin It (a la Addam’s Family). Found on SE Ankeny st in the Laurelhurst neighborhood of Portland, OR on April 26th, 2025. Artist unknown.

The face is comprised of a small carabiner being held in place with some screws, a frowning pink line for a mouth, a faded thick dark line for an mustache, a corn cob holder stuck in the board and pointed at a downward angle for a nose, the right eye is made from a large metal washer, several screws, and a metal nut for an eye, the left eye was likely the same but is now missing completely and only a faint circle and screw hole remains, dark downturned eyebrows expressing anger, and finally attached to the top if a long and narrow dark brown piece of wood that makes a hat or hair. It is almost entirely hidden by tree branches and leaves, and mostly faded. Found on SE Ankeny st in the Laurelhurst neighborhood of Portland, OR on April 26th, 2025. Artist unknown.
