Colorful and sparkly fiber being spun on a drop spindle in shades of light blue, pinks, and occasionally yellows, greens, and purple.
I decided to treat myself to something I've not used before.
This is a batt of mixed fibers (animal, vegetable, and sparkle) spun on a spindle made from discarded mahogany. It's been fun so far.
Did I buy fiber after dying 500 g of top last week? Umm, no comment...

the bouclé keeps getting better. this is a mostly consistent thick single and three plies of binding thread - feels a lot sturdier and I think it balances better too. I don't know what I'm going to use this for but I can see it working out ok as an accent […]

these spirals are not squished together at all, which makes this a very unstable yarn, but it's not done yet so that's ok. this bobbin is a hero for putting up with my nonsense.

A wood placemat. On it are 3 lengths of i-cord, a pair of embroidery scissors, an I-cord maker with 2 prongs and 2 extra knitting prongs.
An early bday present for myself, this is an adjustable I-cord maker that can make 2, 3 or 4 stitch I-cords! Also my first experiments with it using up the leftover yarn from my last weaving project.
