Barings BDC, Inc. Announces Chief Executive Officer Transition Barings BDC (NYSE: BBDC) announced that Thomas Q. McDonnell will become Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2026, succeeding Eric Lloyd. Mr. McDonnell brings 30+ years of finance and investment experience, nearly two decades at Barings, and led fundraising efforts exceeding $15 billion. Eric Lloyd will remain Executive Chairman of Barings BDC and continue as President of Barings LLC. The company is an externally managed business development company focused on senior secured loans and is affiliated with Barings, a global asset manager with $470+ billion AUM as of September 30, 2025.
