The sky transitions from a rich navy at the top to slightly lighter shades of blue toward the middle, where the cloud cover appears thick and layered, almost heavy, as though holding back rain. Along the distant horizon, a thin, glowing band of warm orange and golden light cuts horizontally across the scene. This narrow strip of sunset contrasts strikingly with the cool blues above it, like a quiet ember still burning beneath a darkening sky. The light appears soft but intense, forming a clear line between the sky and the land. In the foreground, several leafless trees stand in silhouette. Their dark branches spread upward and outward in intricate, delicate patterns, like fine black lace against the sky. The trees are bare, as it’s late winter. Their thin twigs create a web of fine lines that stand out sharply against the brighter band of light near the horizon.
