Session 4 last night, and one of the players is bouncing hard off #cortexprime for a number of reasons.
Primarily, our starting PCs just don't seem very competent, never mind #superheroic

So. Tomorrow we will finish our #SWADE adventure, as I've grown tired of it in no time. Only to swap into #CortexPrime! I've been running some Daring Tales of Adventure by Paul "Wiggy" as I feel the transition from one system into another will be easier with a pulp setting.

Cortex Prime is such an amazing game/toolkit! What makes it special is the narrative control it offers and how flexible it can be to accommodate different genres & tones. It captures a TV/Movie-style of narrative really well.

A character sheet for a Cortex Prime game called Neon Angels. The sheet has three sets of traits — Aspects, Approaches, and Aptitudes & Specialties, along with Edges, Assets, and Stress.
Creating the character sheet for a #TTRPG can help give clarity to the rules and reveal rough spots. In the process of putting this together I changed a number of things. It still needs a bunch of tweaking, but the overall structure is in place. #CortexPrime
So the tentative name for this supernatural university #CortexPrime #TTRPG I'm noodling on is Generation Hex. I know there's already a comic book out there with a similar name, don't care. I'm thinking of tying it into another game I want to do, called Trenchcoats and Thaumaturgy.
Three things about me:
- I am an old #ttrpg player who chose "commie storygamer" over "grognard". My favorite games are #CortexPrime, #FitD, and #Fate.

Neon Angels, my Bubblegum Crisis-inspired #CortexPrime #TTRPG build, at roughly 23k words (and it's some very rough text), is almost in a playable state. I have a few things to work out still, plus mocking out some play sheets.
I'm going a different direction for this #CortexPrime #TTRPG build than I normally would. It's not totally crunchy with lists of weapons and potatoware and stuff, but does have movement, range, etc. Of course the movement is zones, but that's still more involved than I usually prefer.
