This #digitised glass plate #negative from Garstang’s excavations at Abydos show an assemblage of materials from a tomb. Included are several spindle bottles, imported to #Egypt from #Cyprus as well as a carinated stone vessel and a #makeup vessel.

Ancient Egyptian board game called senet

This #digitised #glassplatenegative was taken during Garstang’s #excavations at the site of #Abydos. The #photography depicts a senet board with pieces. Senet is an #ancientEgyptian #boardgame that was played from the Old Kingdom all the way to the Roman Period.
