A sea urchin on sand. It has short spines arranged in clumps; they have whitish bulbs below the tip. There is a ring of longer yellow spines at the base of the urchin. Fire Urchin (Asthenosoma varium), Anilao. These are always worth checking for commensal shrimp and crabs, and they often get all the attention, but urchins are also pretty cool in their own right.
