The Messerschmitt ME 163 Komet was the best and worst fighter plane ever built. The world's only rocket-powered fighter, it would burn all its fuel in 7 minutes and turn into a tiny but fast and agile glider. It was also incredibly dangerous, using two deadly and explosive acids for fuel, in tanks located on either side of the pilot in the cockpit. The fighter took out far more of its own pilots than enemy planes. However, the few who did fly it and survived, universally praised its handling, speed and agility.
