A marker, ink, and paint pen drawing of a mer-creature based on the frog fish, an anglerfish variant that walks on their pectoral fins. Several species are mooshed together here, including the painted frog fish and the psychedelic frog fish.
The upper body of the mer-creature is rosy brown human tones with a white line pattern outlined in red in the same pattern as the tail. The head is shaped like an anglerfish seen head-on, with a wide frowning mouth, and eyes rolled up and to the side. The upper body is the same tones to the navel, with breasts concealed by crossed arms. The hands are finned, with no fingers.
The body changes colour to yellow at the hips, with the head on the left, and the tail stretched out across the image to the right. There are two pectoral fins bent like lower legs and feet below the hips, with the closer foot lifted in a “whatever” manner.
The tail is large, with both dorsal and ventral fins, and a finned tail spread out at the end. The white and red lines continue over the yellow, all over the tail and fins.
This is one of my weirder ideas, I must admit.

This is an unholy union of several different species of frog fish (anglerfish). I used photos by Jim Stringer and the Waikīkī Aquarium for references.
Frog fish is tired of your stale pickup lines. Talk to the fin.
