The creature in the image is a Nudibranch, specifically Nembrotha kubaryana, also known as the Variable Neon Slug or Green Lined Nembrotha. These colorful sea slugs are part of the marine gastropod mollusks family and are commonly found in the Indo-Pacific region, including the Philippines. The image shows a brilliantly colored sea slug crawling on a coral reef. Its body is mostly black with vivid neon green stripes running lengthwise. The head features two prominent, bright orange, ribbed sensory organs called rhinophores that look like feathery antennae. At the back of its body, there’s a bushy tuft of orange and black gill structures. The creature’s underside and mouth area also display bright orange accents.
