ALL I NEEDED WAS ONE WINTER:
A single dry stem.
Three months of peace.
Then I would’ve flown in May.
You saw garden waste.
I was a butterfly waiting for my wings. 🦋💔

Tuesday was the 200-year anniversary of James Charles Dale catching the UK's first recorded Bordered Brown Lacewing. We marked the day by finding six in a small area by Stonehaven War Memorial.

Bottlenose Dolphins joined the celebration by splashing around offshore.

From wildlands to farmlands, we need to put functional roles front & centre.
Insect functional diversity supports pollination, pest control, nutrient cycling, & more.

Let’s design systems—conservation & agricultural—that work with insects, not without them. #Agroecology #InsectConservation
