Here's an idea for #Mastodon: if it's so difficult to decide on an #instance for new users, how about a dedicated startup instance where new people are encouraged to create accounts?

And just like that, #reports from https://mas.to and https://mstdn.social are now silenced and rejected. And _fuck Eugen Rochko_ for not requiring #instance #admins to approve all user reports before they're sent on to the remote instance! Sharkey does this. Why can't #Mastodon?
So, is the mindly.social Mastodon instance finally stable again? It's been either completely unavailable or barely working for nearly a month now. Seriously considering transferring to one that, you know, works.

If you are thinking about #hosting a #Mastodon instance just know that Mastodon forces you (the #instance #Admin) to pay for storage for _every_ image & video that passes through your server.
Every other platform takes the sane route and turns that shit off by default, and gives the Admin the [โฆ]
