Pedestrians face the evening rain at the Barkhor in Lhasa, Tibet. The street appears wet and reflects the myriad lights on the buildings at either side. The buildings are not very tall, only three or four stories high, and have lights in different colors with the yellow dominating. Most of the people carry umbrellas. Many of the stores remain open, and the high mountains that surround the city are visible far away as a dark blue silhouette.

I have no other reason to post this photo than loving this city. Pedestrians face the evening rain at the Barkhor in Lhasa, Tibet. The Buddhist pilgrims will continue their circumambulation until the neighborhood is closed for the night. July 2024.
