Photograph taken in the summer looking up underneath the pergola. One of my favourite reading and sunbathing spots (fair skin) on a summer's day. Two huge, bright green banana leaves stretch across the photograph from bottom right to top left in an arc. Straight, horizontal wooden beams behind them and pale blue-grey sky beyond. Delicate clematis stems wrap round the beams in a rebellious way.

Looking up at the underside of a large tent, a big top being used for a music festival venue. Lights are shining from the stage out to the audience and are sweeping the top of the tent. Shadows of the shining lighting rig for the front of the stage are seen, and a also arge tent pole holding up sone side of the tent. The colour of the lights appear to be different shades of blue.

Photograph taken using my android phone camera of the very fancy gold leaf ceiling featuring coats of arms, at The Bowes Museum, Barnard Castle. Cleverly, visitors are encouraged to look at the ceiling using large mirrors...genius idea! The ceiling was designed by John Bowes in 1879 and brought to life by the phenomenal painting skills of Clement Heaton. The image shows a large, hand-held, rectangular mirror with a curved black edge above a beautiful herringbone floor. In the mirror is the reflection of the most tasteful 'ceiling of bling' I've ever seen. Orderly pattern of rectangles of gold each with a different coat of arms as the prominent design. Other touches of colour include russet, burgundy, deep green and antique white. The Bowes Museum is a worthy entrant for a 'Palace' because it looks like one externally and internally. Had it not been for the philanthropic efforts of its owners, it could very well have become a stately home. Photograph taken looking up at the majestic Mehrangarh Fort in Jodphur, India, taken in the late 90s using a hand held film camera. Rajasthan was an incredible region to visit. This fort was built in 1459 and stands on a cliff overlooking a beautiful city known for its blue-painted houses. Probably my favourite place in India. A brown and white tall brick wall blends into a huge, decorative, multi-layer cream stone building with fancy arched windows and shaped towers protruding. Sky above is white/palest grey.

Photograph taken using the reverse camera function. Been admiring some pampas grass in a garden for years whilst out on lunchtime wanders. This week I took a quick snap. Love the strong lines and the colour combination. Image shows a deep blue, cloudless sky. Stems of cream/gold pampas grass barge into frame from the left and top edges: a mixture of long, straight stems and large, fluffy grass heads. The odd curved leaf strand breaks the lines. Overall the image is split diagonally, pampas vs sky. Pampas reminds me of my Nanna. Upon moving with Grandad into their family home, she was delighted to see an established pampas in the back garden, but kept that to herself. A week or so later, she ran down the garden path to see it ablaze. Grandad, the fire starter, was proudly ridding the garden of the eyesore! She never got over it! What brings one person joy, another finds ugly 😂.
