Clos Lointain Meditations 2023, Côtes Catalanes, France Light golden in color. Nose of citrus, peaches, yellow apples, spices, light earth and herbs. Medium plus in body with medium acidity. Dry on the palate with lemons, red and green apples, minerals, light grapefruits, herbs, spices, earth, light oak and light sea salt. Long finish with limes and light almonds. This is a delicious white blend from Southern France. Round and rich. Elegant and nicely balanced. Complex and interesting. As it warms up, it feels like a white Burgundy. So interesting. This Single Vineyard is drinking beautifully now, and will continue to age nicely in the next 5 to 7 years. Good right out of the bottle, and better after 20 minutes of airtime. A great sipping wine that paired nicely with food too. A blend of 68% Grenache Gris and 32% Macabeo. Aged on its lees, in used large French oak barrels for 14 months. Unfiltered and unfined. A small production of less than 2,000 bottles. 14% alcohol by volume. 92 points. $50.

Apple, crisp, then a bit of bone. Highlighted the brioche that a gamba tartar was sitting on.
Very drinkable but not sure if I'd get it by itself.

Bottled a bit of #Macabeo piquette. The rich amber colour is a result of a week fermenting on the skins after rehydrating them post pressing [for Cava] and adding water, acid and sugar. Not exactly a fan of this style, but needs must in these times of grape scarcity in the vineyard…
