A landscape photo at blue hour after sunset in Winter, overlooking vast canyons that step up over mesas and rising cliffs with distance. Most of the flat mesas are visible from above, being nearer to the viewers higher vantage point. Then there is a deeply eroded area of low bluffs before the terrain flattens again briefly before ascending to towering cliffs beyond. The colors of the canyon walls appear red in the deepening twilight. The fading illumination is from the right side, with bluer shadows on left facing cliffs. The highest canyon cliff faces in the distance have snow accenting their lower slopes. And up on the horizon, and island of tall snowy mountains stand darkly against the lighter blue sky. This is a view looking South from Utah's Dead Horse State Park, and the park's namesake viewpoint, looking down into the canyon drainage of the Colorado River, and across many miles to the distant peaks of The Abajo Mountain range.
