How Sirens Are Made She believed in repair. In staying. In loving harder when things began to crack. But kindness is a slow drowning. People say sirens are monsters. But they are only women who drowned once trying to save someone who never meant to swim. Women who swallowed salt until their voices turned sharp as the tide. Women learned the ocean listens better than men do. So they sit on the rocks singing not for rescue, nor a lure but as a warning that love without depth is just another kind of drowning, and the ocean does not create monsters.

How Sirens Are Made

She believed in repair.
In staying.
In loving harder
when things began to crack.
But kindness
is a slow drowning.
