The #AstronomyWeather for my local patch, for August 2025:

Clear sky: 10 nights
Partly cloudy sky: 7 nights
Overcast sky: 14 nights

August was all about the #Perseid meteor shower. Some lucky clear nights around the peak allowed me to capture some great #Perseids.

A view of the night sky, with a meteor on the left side of the frame. It is green near the tail, turning pinkish/purple at the head. There are some stars visible, and the Milky Way is distinct. There are also some clouds. The waning gibbous moon illuminates the landscape which is mostly a field of chamisa (rabbitbrush). There are some houses on the horizon, and a tipi on the left side.
