A very interesting trip around #Cromer #RNLI on the pier.

Things I love about this:

A: The tech on the boat is amazing

B: the volunteers are amazing & so is the history

C: Idiot gammons hate the RNLI, so this inspired me to make a donation

So what’s not to love 😊 #RespectRNLI

A photograph taken at an oblique angle of an antique lifeboat through the window of the boat shed it’s housed in by a group of (presumed) local volunteers. The Alfred Corry. The lifeboat is displayed on a wooden cradle construction and only partially visible. Notably the pale blue, white and scarlet bands of its hull and rope draped along its sides in pleasant loops. It’s a bright BlueSky kinda day visible in the glass reflection alongside an expanse of car park near empty adjoining the beach itself. Situated in Southwold in Suffolk it’s accessible and the location worth a visit irrespective of the boat shed museum (restricted times) being open or otherwise. Pleasingly it’s close to the RNLI station serving this stretch of coast. ⚪️🔴🦋🔵

Dominic Gregory ('Lifeboat at the End of the World') makes the point that the law of the sea (you do your best to save people whoever/wherever they are) enabled communities in places like Kent to survive in harder seagoing times. #RNLI #books

Donate to the RNLI and help save lives at sea Your donations really make a difference. We depend on your generosity to educate people to stay safe and prevent tragedies on and offshore. Donate here.

🛟 Hillwalk Tours donated €1,000 in February to The RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution), a charity that saves lives 365 days a year at sea around the coasts of the UK & Ireland. A very worthy recipient, please support them if you can.

Watching “Gone Fishing” and just caught a glimpse of the #RNLI lifeguard hut on Bantham beach where I was treated after stepping on a weaver fish.
I wasn’t the only one, there 7 or 8 of us each with a foot in a plastic washing up bowl of hot water.

Plushy mole with Airfix RNLI Shannon class lifeboat model kit bought from the RNLI shop.

Went to the #RNLI shop today and bought this lovely Airfix lifeboat kit. It even comes with paint and glue. The RNLI are brave volunteers with selfless call to duty. The tiny handful of haters can get lost - every protest means another donation or purchase from the rest of us.

Britain is a proud seafaring nation which is why the RNLI was setup 200 years ago to save the lives of all people at sea. Over 600 volunteers have given their lives in this service.
Those who protest against the #RNLI aren't patriots they don't understand our heritage. They are simply racist scum.

Dad worked for ‘The Mission To Seamen’ when Manchester still had docks. He taught me to respect mariners & #RNLI as the sea can be bloody awful. This was the late 60s early 70s so he knew seamen who had done N. Atlantic & Arctic convoys 😱

At the midlands venue I worked at, a long way from the sea, they brought in a policy. If you were on the guest list you had to donate £5 to #RNLI.
I asked the manager why he chose that charity:
“Because these cunts that go to Weston & get in trouble are most likely to need the #RNLI” 🙂
