Page 014 of the Kirby Art and Style Collection Artbook depicts Meta Knight, 2 Waddles Dees, a single Scarfy and a Conductor/Ticket Collector Kirby, on the PUPUPU Train service. Kirby Pupupu Train (星のカービィ プププトレイン, Hoshi no kābyi pupuputorein) was a series of real-world Kirby events themed around trains. The events happened yearly from 2016 to 2020, at various times in the year. Most of the events were located within Japan Rail stations, and featured train and Kirby themed merchandise for sale in person, as well as online. Since 2020, there have been no new events, but a similar event titled Kirby x Hankyu Train occurred in 2025. (Above paragraph credited to Wikirby.com, where you can find more information about PUPUPU and the wider world of Kirby!) I wonder what a King Dedede movie really would be like? Does it have to involve Kirby at all? Or is it a reference to the antics King Dedede gets up to in the Kirby anime, known as "Right Back at YA!" in the West? No matter, because if this Train comes to a grinding halt and Scarfy is knocked out of their beauty sleep, then all hell will break loose.... Ride at your own discretion.....
Page 015 of the Kirby Art and Style Collection Artbook depicts train tracks and a few appearances of Kirby characters, Waddle Dees, Doos and a Cappy! But there are also two, almost, non Kirby characters, Lololo and Lalala, down in the bottom left, near the Info desk! Lololo and Lalala are directly based on Prince Lolo and Princess Lala, the main protagonists of the puzzle game series Eggerland, which was also developed by HAL Laboratory. (Credit to the above paragraph goes to Wikirby.com!) It is a nice nod to how their designs are directly connected to an entirely different HAL LABORATORY series, and I feel like their travelling by train could almost imply a headcanon that they are the same enemies, just travelling between Eggerland and Dreamland, to keep up appearances! Wait.... do Kirby characters even get paid? Money kinda just shows up all across Popstar..... How is their economy functional? (WHO CARES?!)
