It was only a few weeks ago that we headed to Cumbria for a few days & got a close up of #stormamy.
Today we’re off to Rutland for the weekend, into the heart of amber #stormclaudia weather warning area.
Despite what you may think, we’re not storm chasers. These are just coincidences. 🤷🏼♂️🌧️

Picked more of the cooking apples, a surprising number stayed on the trees through #StormAmy. I'm going to cook them and divide them into muffin cases then freeze them. I will then be able to de-freeze portion sizes of cooked apples to make into crumbles or hand pies. #HomeGrown #Gardening #Apples

After #StormAmy I left Skye and I knew that my garden storage box was in he middle of my garden.
I came up to Skye yesterday and my box was back where it should be.
I told my son to sort it.
He was 🤷
Today, I found out that my 80 year old neighbour, Hector, tidied my garden up.

A post #StormAmy site visit showed that our precipitation collection funnel (for chemical analysis of rainfall) had been toppled by the 108 mph winds, but otherwise most equipment survived unscathed. First time this has happened since @ukecn.bsky.social long-term monitoring began here 25 years ago.

The damage to the Torungen and Stangholmen #lighthouses notwithstanding, most of the lighthouses of #Norway seem to have survived #StormAmy with only minimal damage.

Got back yesterday from a short break being entertained by #StormAmy in the Lake District.
Fortunately Essex has not experienced the same severity of storm & all was well at the allotment.
2 Green Zebra toms had detached from an outdoor plant. Apart from that all was well.
