New Friend in #SantaCruz ...

I juggle (learned because SUN Servers came with three sand-balls and in the #SunOS manual, there was a chapter on how to juggle while you were waiting for the OS to install) and so Brah invited me to Tuesday Juggling at Capitola Beach!

Very excited - delivery came yesterday with an original set of #SunOS 4.0.3 tapes for the #SPARCstation 1! I'll have to repair the broken bands, and here's hoping for no bitrot, or that someone overwrote them over the years 😬

My first UNIX workstation as an Assist Professor was a Sun UltraSPARC (1999). Had it on my desk next to my Windows box. I learned UNIX on an IBM RS6000 running AIX as a grad student in the mid-1990s. I had also used Sun for some classes. Much preferred SunOS. #retrocomputing #SunOS #IBMAIX
