Photograph taken using a macro setting looking up at a newly flowering blue hyacinth in the garden. Took it crouched down without the aid of my glasses so had no idea if it was blurred or not. It is a bit, but that adds to its charm.
Image is full of the overlapping small blue-purple flowers found on a hyacinth head. Behind are moments of mid-green leaves and the pale beige-silver of established lavender plants.
The title 'Bucket, Sorry Bouquet, Anyone?' is a reference to the 1990s British sitcom, 'Keeping Up Appearances' written by Roy Clarke. The main character Hyacinth Bucket, desperate to raise her station from working class pronounces her married surname 'Bouquet' with a fake posh accent. She also refers to her bungalow as 'The Residence' and answers the phone; "The Bouquet residence, the lady of the house speaking" to suggest she has staff who may normally wait on her. Think we all probably know some Mr or Mrs Buckets.
