In times when AI writes more and more code, I thought maybe it's time to switch to #Zed or go back to #VSCode. After testing, #WebStorm still wins. Each has its pros and cons, but somehow I always come back to #JetBrains. 🤷♂️
It took a lot of tinkering, but finally, I did it. I have my favorite font in PyCharm's and WebStorm's terminal.

I'm using #IntelliJ + #Webstorm in the same project (mostly Java + Typescript). No serious bugs encountered so far. But what's most important: Productivity and DX are way better than with other client projects where #Eclipse (with a ton of plugins) and #VSCode are the default.
ugh, the latest #WebStorm release has a bad memory leak. It fills the **8GB** heap in less than 10 minutes :neofox_woozy:

Any other #jetbrains #webstorm users having performance issues lately? It just stalled for me for like a minute, and all I did was type a few characters. Too much time spent on #ai features that I don't use, not enough on basic profiling? If this keeps up I might have to switch back to VS Code

Just switched to #WebStorm 2025.2 and tried the preview version of #TypeScript on Go.
It's so much faster in my monorepo.
I no longer need to wait a minute or two for types to refresh.

I regret ir, but I have to admit that grok.com is a must have for developing.
In terms of coding, debugging, refactoring it's a great AI tool.
And using specific workspaces is a must, you can load any files and work on them.
Better than #Copilot (#3) and #Webstorm AI (#2)
After last update my @webstorm.jetbrains.com freezes after Mac sleep. I have to kill the app and restart. Am I the only one experiencing it?
I suspect plugins, but not sure how to debug it.
