Back to Seaton Wetlands today, the first visit for several months. Not much to see on the marsh but there are still a few Sand Martins being fed. The bank has been a huge success this year. Plus several Wasp Spiders, this one was an impressive size. #wildeastdevon
About a dozen Black-Tailed Godwits flew onto Black Hole Marsh, Seaton Wetlands, the other evening. They really are very handsome birds when still in sum plum .... #WildEastDevon #ukbirding
Delighted to have found this Grey long-eared bat (Endangered in UK) at #seatonwetlands #wildeastdevon #devon last night. Its broad wings enable it to fly slowly (and almost hover) as it collect insects off leaves. @naturalengland.bsky.social @batconservation.bsky.social 🦇 #wildlife #nature
It was cold, but very beautiful, out at Seaton Wetlands at 5.30am this morning. So pleased that the pair of Black-Winged Stilts were still showing well. Apparently they mated last night, so I'm keeping everything crossed that they may stay..... Such elegant birds. #UKBirding #WildEastDevon

Took my 1st trip to Seaton Marshes and Borrow Pit for a long time. Godwits, Curlews, Redshanks, Common Sandpipers on estuary. Pleased to see 8 Little Grebes and a pair of Gadwalls on Borrow Pit. Grebes were fishing and fighting well! #WildEastDevon #UKBirding
