It’s official: novelty lost to the cost of forfeited futzing. The unmissable putzing of wolfish temperatures, those fever dreams of adventures that never do more than bore holes into hearts from eyes that are kept too far apart to dare the tortoise in his pursuit. Mouths that are only ever mute, and let go of the past because no breath can last more than a lifetime. No breath could dare be a lifeline. What cost can we mine from this premonition in two acts: Act One: the pact. Act Two: the few. And Act Three? Never to be. A promise lost to eternity. An illness infecting all that we know. Only now it’s beginning to show. Now it’s beginning to show. And somehow, we still pretend we don’t know.
