Loresheet based on a whale-like species in Sairuna. The sheet showcases a font and side of a blue and oranged striped Vaï. The text reads; "The Vaï Keepers of Balance Named after the graceful waters that flows through Sairuna, the Vaï used to be known as preservers of peace. Now hunted for their delicate flesh and for the oils within their skulls – they are at a high risk of extinction. The ignorance of these life forms has led to the death of many dialects of their language. Unbeknownst to the general population, the Vaï are as intelligent as life above sea. They come with their own names, songs, tales and own culture. Before the times of trouble, they were able to communicate with the heavens. They shared the gods’s word with the people that existed under land. They carried the responsibility of protecting the sacred flow of balance. As with every breath they take above water, they change the fluctuations of the sea. Bringing nutrients from the depths and fertilizing the waves around them. The Vaï communicates through clicks and waves made from their fins. Each length of a wave paired with clicks has a different meaning, depending on the frequency of each segment, is used to express different emotions. This type of language is primarily used to communicate with other sirens as interestingly enough — The Vaï are biologically closer to sirens than they are to other sea life. As for culture, the Vaï carry a deep pacifism and respect for life around them. Even smaller life, such as sea lions and seals, being under their protection. They bring all the siren folk together with their songs and through their great travels. They know their origins is stems longer than the three great chiefs of the sea, as they are closer to the gods than any other subtype of siren. Unfortunately they have lost this connection after the all god Ao severed the gods from their godhood; leaving them to carry out their primary purpose. "
