This is it generating the game landscape for the first level from 256 pseudo-random numbers.

The Sentinel on the BBC Micro (and others) was a brilliant 3D strategy game featuring 10,000 (!) levels. A highly innovative game and great fun. Written by the great Geoff Crammond #thesentinel #bbcmicro
Found myself recreating the classic BBC / C64 game Thrust including the original physics and timing and an emulation of the BBCs sound chip and OSWORD interface. You can read about it and play it online here.

The list of deep dives that I am working on
I've started writing a series of deep dives into Geoff Crammond's epic #BBCMicro game The Sentinel.
Here's the to-do list.
I will post a link here whenever I add a new one to thesentinel.bbcelite.com

If you think a #BBC #online #space is fanciful, think of what BBC technology has brought us inc: Marconi microphones, loudspeakers, stereo #TV and #computers like #BBCMicro and micro:bit; #@BBCiPlayer its video on demand service, launched on Xmas Day 2007. Change through #publicservice innovation.
And in the 2020's 😜
Here's a quick SN76489 interface I cobbled together for the SAM Coupe along with coding a simple .vgm player to play music from the BBC micro. (Here playing a rendition of Supremacy converted from C64 to SN by Negative Charge)
