And the day for birds is coming up. Birds, as a type of dinosaur, are reptiles, and I will die on that hill. But I'll still leave them for Tuesday.

We're left where we were for reptile day for #DecemberWorldbuilders, so I suppose I have to discuss Fenzetor's symbol, the ouroboros, again. (2/6)

I'll go with region: Volosskar Fjord.

It cuts the northern continent in half to the point that it could be considered separate continents due to the massive channel between the halves, but given that it's quite the same environment on either side, it's presumed one.

2: So, in what will be a likely maddening piece for the readers: in How the Forever War Ends, the reader will never learn how said Forever War began. Much of the history of the world is going to be learned in bits through the MC (Amella "Brash" Llewellyn), but the actual...

I plan to tackle that one arc and defeat it (after submitting my thesis, of course). It is personal at this point. If this arc were a person I would be punching it with my bare hands.
On a lighter note, I plan to flesh out the world a bit more (I still have some

I do not make goals. I appear to have angered something of significance* & every time I make a goal past waking up the next day I get smited with the comparative overkill of cracking a pistachio with a sledgehammer.

Answering 30 and 31 in one.

I didn't get as much done as I wanted this year, but I'm not upset about it. There was a lot of shit going on. I always overestimate how much I can do anyway. Planning Des thinks they're a cyborg 😆

My goals for next year 🧵

Day 31 #DecemberWorldbuilders

For writing, I’d like to finish my short story collection and start a novel. There’s some overlap with worldbuilding goals there: a lot of the ideas I have left to write feature monsters or regions I haven’t developed a lot so far.

#HelpDesk: plot out to the end, stay on track to share last installment in April of '27.

#RelicWorld: Just. Keep. Creating. There is SO much in the Fruit Bowl.

#FlashOfWings: keep the spark of this flash-fiction project lit.

One goal for StS is to find a good balance for how many details to give regarding monsters in Seff's world. Plot-wise, most antagonists are humanoid, but I want to consistently make it clear that this is a magical world with lots of weird, scary shit in it.

No very strict goals, but generally I want to plot a bit further and see if I can't get the overall storyline developed for my characters and their world! While I'm at it, I'd like to write some short pieces and/or make some comics of them as practice.

#DecemberWorldbuilders Day 31

For 2026, I'm hoping to finish at least one more full novel manuscript, as well as the prequel novella for Brumewalker Archives.

As far as worldbuilding, I definitely want to expand some more on the history and lore of the other continents!

I'll be continuing along the course of the new story, whatever the hell it is, fleshing out the world as well. Those conlangs aren't going to invent themselves.

Even if I don't publish right away, I want to finish and get the third and fourth Sigils novels fully edited.

I can easily get a third Sarcophagus of Lamia novelette book published this year.

As for exploring my world, I need to flesh out non-Omeran cultures.

#DecemberWorldbuilders -31- Complete Cry Wolf's sequel, hopefully complete book 3 in that series (maybe 4, but that's a bit much). Otherwise, I have a couple of older stories I might try to refurbish, especially my 'fantasy trilogy.'

Beyond getting the Rose book out and the audiobook for Mother of Exiles finished, I need to focus on promotion and getting more reviews. So beware, I'm going to be asking a lot of people.

Goals for next year include getting One Bad Tuesday completed, then working on more of Truth to Trauma. Followed by some world building of the isles in the world of L&M.

I wanted to finish my draft this year, but new baby made that impossible. I’m on track to finish by March. I revise a lot as I go, but I’m hoping to make my big cuts in the spring and then be ready to query by the summer. #DecemberWorldbuilders #amwriting #writesky #writingcommunity #fantasy #YA #NA

My goal is to finish my writing, even if it kills me. Same for my worldbuilding. I have made Nequinum & Otherworld, but I also have others, like Yestermorrow (a dimension of retro-futurism divided by time periods, from Renaissance Clockpunk to 1990s Cyberpunk).

I have a completely different world I need to get on with to the Boiling Seas (edits after a full request woo)... which does not mean I'm not also working on expanding the Seas too...

I'm being ambitious next year.
Goal is a story a month (mixed shorts, novellas and at least one full novel).

I have two worlds that need some extensive world building, one is the world of Planting Life, the other is a world for a new story idea that doens't have a name yet

I plan to keep the Seeker Saga going, and hopefully get at least the next two books published. In terms of worldbuilding, I hope to continue fleshing out aspects of Theryl I haven't gotten to explore yet, so I hope you'll all look forward to exploring it with me!

Or at least the first draft. I'd love to get it fully edited though :v

Also finish the current arc in #DiaryOfNana! That one's written out, I just need to remember to upload it on time (and translate it :x) :p

Day 31 of #decemberworldbuilders!

There's a prequel novelette I need to finish, but mostly I need to make additional strides on Book 2. A big part of that will be worldbuilding as our setting changes drastically! I have a bunch of notes scattered everywhere and *some* are compiled...

#DecemberWorldbuilders To finish more things!

I do a lot of half-development before jumping to another thing and forgetting about the former project... Or just being too anxious to pick things back up.

It's a lifelong habit I'm working to break. Hoping 2026 is the year I finally master focus. 🤪

I'll try to keep it realistic:

- Publishing Bloodmaster #3
- Drafting Bloodmaster #4
- Finishing the new magic system I'm working on (which is inextricable with the worldbuilding) and writing at least one short story with it
