Arthur "Harpo" Marx, comedian, actor, mime and musician. As part of a vaudeville act with his Brothers, he found that thanks to the verbosity of Chico and Groucho, he was being alotted less and less dialogue in each performance on stage. Eventually he just stopped talking.
