Image 1: Batrachospermum. A greenish coloured species. Note a few diatoms living in the mucilage.
Image 2: Ceratium dominated plankton. Ceratium belongs the major group of Dinophytes, the Dinoflagellates.
Image 3: Ceratium among filamentous Cyanophytes.
Image 4: Dinobryon. Very common in the plankton of lakes or pools which are relatively poor in nutrients and not very alkaline.
