Finance: I have money, I have more votes than you. Don't let finance get into the business Cooperation: One person = One vote Favoring cooperatives is a powerful political act that encourages democracy. In cooperatives, workers are more motivated because they are involved in their work and see it as a long-term commitment. What's more, they are familiar with the equipment and how the cooperative works, which means they make much better decisions. Cooperatives spend less on management, which leaves more money for the business to survive. Subsidies paid to businesses are the government's largest expense. Subsidies should be given to cooperatives that revitalize the local economy rather than to large companies that relocate or pay dividends to shareholders. Cooperatives are successful in 90% of cases.
