Agreed. Another barrier is credentials. The cost, time sink, and obstacles to getting degrees to "prove" your knowledge/talents is a huge hurdle, particularly for mothers. Plus the devaluation of women/parenting/education/etc. itself. Not recognizing #autodidactic #polymaths is endemic atp.
