Photograph taken using a macro setting of a large mass of frogspawn whilst out on a walk across the fields yesterday. Bright lime blades of grass are suspended within this clear jelly squidge (such a great word!) with lots of dark brown tadpoles each in their individual sack. Tadpoles have just got their tails so not lots to see yet but soon!

One of a series of photos taken along the prairie trails of an upper midwest USA park and bison rangeland. It is mid-spring, with deciduous trees bare of leaves and the sky clear and blue. Here and there you can spot an occasional bit of color on the ground, from the bloom of a small plant. A highlight of this park is a herd of bison, but they were too far away from the fenceline for a clear shot.
