On an Isel homeworld, the Junk Heap visits a Historical Cavern to read a vital piece of information. With the Isels' permission, they record the history written on one of their History Crystals, translated by their guide. This history, about a star system called "Brimstone" ended up being populated by species who have a strong affinity for burning hot worlds. This also reveals an interesting piece of information on why the Mycon have been fewer in numbers(during the Starship Junk Heap timeline, 100 years after the Sa-Matra was destroyed): Something the Isel took part in called "Operation Ice Age".

Meet Reep-Jeep(or RJ for short), an exile from the main Yehat homeworlds. He was exiled because he was born with a malformed wing... which is unfair, because he is rather young, but has the heart of a warrior. He went to Beta Wolf to find refuge in a place that accepts exiles, and he fit right in. He is (nearly)unshakable.

Hey #Stardock, I've recently been listening to the #LinkinPark full discography, including the Underground tracks, and some of those demos could really work as #StarControl music. It was Unfortunate that totally sold me on it. I hope that you try to tap LP for the next Star Control project.

A handmade plush of my Melnorme fancharacter, Lavender. She's made with various materials that I reclaimed, mostly articles of clothing that either do not fit or are unwanted. So it's hard to say EXACTLY what materials she's made of, lol. Additional notes: No sewing machine was used in the creation of this plush, it's ALL sewn by hand! I also did NOT use or even MAKE patterns for this plush either, because when my mind's set to making a plush like this, I usually have a good idea of how it'll turn out when it's finished.
Second photo, this time a close up(include my hand for scale). You can see the additional embroidery I did for the eye, mouth and freckles. As always, embroidering the freckles was a HUGE pain in the neck! But I AM happy with how the embroidery of the teeth and around the eye turned out.
Three days well-spent! And zero sewing machines used!

Rusty and Penny have a minor “rivalry” between them, but that’s for a good reason: Penny used to be a part of a rather vicious group of space pirates. What Rusty has not come to acknowledge(yet) is that the rest of that pirate crew is dead and Penny’s the only remaining member of that crew left. But hold on, how does Rusty know Penny was a part of that pirate crew?? It turns out that Beta Wolf was actually pilfered by that pirate crew, but he never saw Penny in the group that robbed the village of valuable goods. So Penny has to remind Rusty that she’s no longer a pirate and that she has come to regret being that way from when she was a rather young woman. Penny does tease Rusty, but this is (semi)friendly teasing, but Rusty does NOT like it when Penny does this!

Tried something different with this particular piece: color only background. I imagine that a Melnorme ghost would take on the color they’re named after. In the case of Lavender’s dearly departed mother, Rose-Red, a rosy shade of red. Apart from adoring her daughter’s handiwork and being proud of her, what is Rose-Red’s ghost doing here? Surely, she has something important to say, right?

Oh boy, what a big party on the Earth's starbase! The cake says "Happy 30 Anniversary" in a space language I invented and definitely doesn't have an Umgah inside it. Clockwise from upper left we have a Syreen, a Supox, a Human, an Utwig, a Melnorme, an Ariloulaleelay, a Pkunk, the Zoq Fot Pik, a Spathi, a Shofixti, a Chmmr, and a Yehat blocking the precious Shofixti from getting the cake dropped on him but the Utwig. They are watching the frungy game and all is excitement.
For the 30th anniversary of #StarControl I designed some Funko Pops and drew a big ol' anniversary party. So excited for @pistolshrimpgames.com to finish their new game!
Rusty-Red(Melnorme with tripolomassia), Beeb'Ob(Umgah), Sergeant Plibnik(Spathi), Patinzo(Wolpertinger-like fan species of mine, the Isel) and Mugsy(another fan species, the bio-floral Mosch), grouped together, possibly greeting a client. Since these friends have grown attached over the course of the time they worked together, they assumed the name the "Cargo Bay Boys", because of their line of work in cargo moving. Rusty's tripled body mass helped him become quite possibly, one of the universe's strongest Melnorme, while Patinzo(named because of his tin-gray coloration) is also New Isella's strongest Isel. Beeb'Ob and Plibnik's jobs are to ensure that there is no missing cargo stolen by others they are delivering their cargo of refines metals and other valuable resource units. Mugsy is typically close by, because Mosch are natural power generators and, if wearing it, powers a suit Rusty wears sometimes, either to enter planets without air, high pressure or extreme temperatures. One thing they have in common; They're very friendly and always greet their clients.
Who do you call when there's some heavy cargo to unload? The Cargo Bay Boys, of course!

Banker Pearl and her husband Taupe. Taupe was originally born conjoined to his long since deceased brother Chestnut. Separation from Chestnut resulted in stunting Taupe’s growth, but at least he survived the many therapies that allowed him to live a healthy life! He and Pearl met in school as children and Taupe was immediately smitten by Pearl. She was the most incredible thing he had ever, not only because of her tripled body proportion, but also the way she was able to swim. Ever since they met eyes, the two were inseparable, to the point of getting married.

Captain Madolyn Michael, daughter of Captain John Michael and Syreen Penelope. Madolyn(or just Maddy) takes over her father’s role with no small amount of pride. Plus, to keep the theme of the Junk Heap having had cats onboard the ship, Maddy got some tattoos of cat prints.
Commander Sage-Green, Inventor Lavender’s son. Regardless of being the first child born into the Junk Heap, Sage does not believe that he is good Captain material. He’s fine with being the Junk Heap Legacy’s commander and chief machinist. While he radiates his mother’s sassy, sarcastic and machine savvy ways, he also shows his father’s polite and professional demeanor. As to who Sage’s father is, that’s top secret!

An Ilwrath fancharacter of mine named Saffron. I names her Saffron, mainly because there was another Ilwrath Captain named Taragon, the name of an herb I knew of. So why not give her the name of another herb that sounds Ilwrath-ish? This particular Ilwrath was elusive all the years that the Ur-Quan war took place, having fled her homeworld before the Ilwrath fell for the voices of “Dogar and Kazon”(which were actually the Umgah using a ‘caster to imitate the Ilwraths’ gods). Saffron knew this was a ruse(because who LAUGHS after making a command?), so she fled, using the excuse of “spreading the word” across the galaxy. She reappeared once the Alliance of Free Stars liberated the slave-shielded worlds. She remembers every detail of these events very, very clearly. I used a few creative liberties when designing an elderly Ilwrath High Priestess, such as the lightening of her spider hairs and a fancier top. With the additional flair such as the see-through skirt.
A sort of redesign of an Ilwrath FC named Saffron.
